Raymond J. Arroyo

Raymond serves as CEO of Leaders on Deck, a leadership training firm. His background includes significant senior executive-level human resources, business, and nonprofit experience in several industries.

Raymond, a former chief diversity officer at Aetna, is a Fortune 100 bilingual leader with more than 25 years of experience assessing talent needs in consumer goods, professional and financial services, association /nonprofit, and healthcare sectors. Raymond has been recognized as a top Hispanic executive in the United States. He earned B.S. and M.S. degrees from New York University and a governance certificate from Harvard University. Raymond serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a Senior Fellow of Plaza Institute as well as a member of its Global Enterprise Studies program. He has served on ALPFA’s Corporate Advisory Board, as President of PRIMER, as Chairman of the Corporate and Philanthropic Council of HACU, and as a member of the Board of Regents of the University of Hartford. Raymond lives in Avon, Connecticut with his wife, Susan, two teenage children, Amanda and Justin, and their dog Sheila.

Betsy Silva

Betsy is a nationally recognized consultant and thought leader focused on change management, executive leadership coaching, talent management, and global inclusion workplace strategies.

A strategic thinker with strong business background developed through positions in multi-national companies with matrix enterprise models in consumer products, hospitality, financial institutions, and health care organizations, she works across all levels to identify strategies that build the organizations capabilities and strengthen employee engagement. She is the Principal and Founder of Silva Advisors and a Solutions Consultant for the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA). Betsy is currently the Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement for Boehringer Ingelheim. She has also served as VP of Diversity for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Global VP of Diversity and Inclusion for American Express and Senior Director of Diversity for Sodexo. In addition to these roles, Betsy held several roles in the area of global operations with Sara Lee Branded Apparel. Betsy is currently a member of the USLBN’s Corporate Advisory Board, non-profit serving persons with disabilities. She is also on the board of Madrinas, a non-for-profit focused on the advancement of Latinas. As an active member of the community, she was a former board member of the Winston-Salem, North Carolina Urban League and a commissioner for the Winston-Salem, North Carolina Human Relations Commission. Betsy has also served as Chair of the Hispanic League of the Piedmont Triad, a group that she co-founded. Betsy earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Inter-American University in Puerto Rico. She is a 2005 National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI) Fellow, completing the Executive Program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Betsy holds a certification in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University and is certified in several leadership assessment tools.

Xavier is a Board Certified Coach, an Executive Coach at The Center for Creative Leadership, and management consultant in the areas of learning, organization development and talent management. He has worked with a variety of leaders and teams from various industries and organizations including Fortune 100 companies.

As the Managing Director of MERIDIAN, Xavier drives the development of people, teams and organizations by utilizing assessments and evaluation to initiate break-through thinking. He is proficient and certified in administering, interpreting, and providing feedback on several psychological, individual and organizational assessments and instruments. Xavier leverages strengths-based approaches and systems thinking to create sustainable impact. Xavier has extensive experience working with individuals and groups from diverse multi-cultural and multi-national backgrounds. This includes a wide variety of industries from both private and public sectors including global clients in: academia, automotive, banking, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, data/analytics, engineering, energy, financial, investment, government, healthcare, hospitality, legal, technology/high-tech and telecommunications. Xavier received his Doctorate in Dual Clinical and Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and the Marshall Goldsmith School of Management at Alliant International University. His interests and expertise originate from his research in the areas of the character strengths, Positive Psychology and Latino Leadership.

TV Production always had been a part of Alba’s life, bringing over 25 years of experience in her field. As a professional Alba has served as a key technical engineer for such well-known enterprises as Qualcomm, FOX Sports, KTLA, KCAL, CBS, TNN, E!, Univision, and other prestigious broadcasters; She has performed effective services for television show productions, live Broadcasting news, and a wide variety of companies and emerging consumer product brands. Awards include winner of national contests; Sam’s Club/The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce “Como Si: Doing Business Today for Tomorrow,” Office Depot’s “Adopt a Small Business” video contest, The Anna Maria Arias – Latina Style Magazine “Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award”, “The Hispanic Professional Achievement Award” from the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. A two consecutive year winner of TELLY Award, Telly Award honors the very best commercials, videos and films. Most Recently awarded the Diversity Award by the Organization NAWBO Nashville. Video has always been a passion for Jennifer. After high school she knew just the path she wanted to take with her career and she attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Jennifer began her career as a sports camera operator working at the First Union Center in Philadelphia for the Sixers, Flyers and Wings. She also worked for FOX, WYBE and Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. Moving to Nashville in 2001 she took a position with MBC & Associates as a full time videographer and editor, producing medical segments. Jennifer also has worked for Opryland, Fox17 and the Nashville Film Festival. In 2005 Jennifer started her own company with clients including speakers, non-profits, realtors and wedding/event video. In 2010 Jennifer joined with fellow video producer Alba to form AJ Media Services.
